We've spent today pottering so I've not got much in the way of interesting tales to impart.
So three positives for today to keep it simple:-
Man has done some running repairs and a deep clean to the chook pen, dug over the ground (and filled in the craters she's dug!) and replenished the sandy floor ready for our new arrival on Tuesday :)
I've managed to dry three loads of washing on the line and the washing pile is now down to just one brimming laundry basket full.
I rescued three large lavender plants (including 2 white lavenders) from Aldi yesterday for the princely sum of £1.49 each. These are actually not in bad nick and will fill the large planter by the back door. Boom! (as they say.. erm... somewhere!).

I made scones today. Using packet mix. They STILL came out like biscuits. I give up with the bliddy things! I am sulking. I must be the only person in the universe who can't make them!

Sounds like a very productive day! Well done with the bargain plants, a little TLC and they will give you years of sweet smelling lavender flowers . Scones need delicate handling and no rolling, I just very gently press my scone mix tigether and cut out euth a metal ring, dont get milk on the dides of unbaked scones just in the very tops as it seals the edges and stops them rising. I would still rather have a homemade biscuity one than a bought one full of baking powder that grabs your tongue when you try to eat it! Have a lovely week x
