Scones need delicate handling and no rolling, I just very gently press my scone mix tigether and cut out euth a metal ring, dont get milk on the dides of unbaked scones just in the very tops as it seals the edges and stops them rising. I would still rather have a homemade biscuity one than a bought one full of baking powder that grabs your tongue when you try to eat it!
