Sunrise ... Sunset....

Hello bloglies.

How did the first day of December treat you then?

Here's a look into my day.  I'll let the pictures do the talking:-

Sunrise..

Simply stunning

Stark beauty

A rather sad looking reindeer at the c-word light switch on in Stourbridge today.   I wanted to take him home.

Black forest hot chocolate.  Yuletide in a mug! Enjoyment of said beverage
sadly marred by carol singers singing loudly and a pontificating preacher preaching preachily.
Pah.

Home.  Shopping unpacked, it was just too beautiful an afternoon to waste. Harvey and I went for a squelch down the field as the sun was beginning to set.

Oooh it was cold out of the sun!
Random shot of the day.  What's the story here then?  Ancient chip pan sitting about 20 feet into the field!
How queer!

Lengthening shadows...brrrr.... I can hear the kettle calling!

Ooh hello!

Patches of sunlight illuminating the trees - click the photograph to enlarge.
I managed to get back in time to deliver a bowl full of warm mash to Princess Leia who tucked in, clucking contentedly whilst I cleaned out her coop, lagged it with folded newspapers for added insulation and changed her bedding.  She was ready for roost shortly afterwards so I hope she's snuggled down in inches of cosy shavings and straw with a full, warm tummy.  I do feel sorry for her now she's on her own.

Hope your Saturday was a good one.

Wrap up and snuggle down!

  2. I expect the chip pan was dumped by a passing American space station; all getting too fat.

These cold days are beautiful, but the early mornings are testing!

  3. Oh I love the way you write Kim, such description! Love the thought of a 'squelch' rather than a boring walk!

Am sure Princess Leia is ok, she's very well looked after ... my four chuckies love a pan of warm porridge before bed on these cold days.

    Have a lovely Sunday
